So yeah. This just randomly came to mind after looking at old stock and other things on my laptop. I feel like it's one of my best yet, but it's still full of flaws. The tail could use some work, well, a lot of it. And the so could the mane, but I kinda like it too.. Lol, I'm just that confusing. Anyways, I never really knew how'd it look, or what it'd mean in the end, but now I do.

It's a horse stuck in dreamland, the state of illusion. Reality being nothing but a ever fading memory. But, in his true reality, he is a strong warrior. However, after going mad, he escaped to the recesses of his mind. His wings, his kingdom and perfect control of all things beautiful will soon fade and the dove leads him back to his senses.
We all have to wake up after some time anyways...

I agree with what you said about the mane and tail. (; But the wings look stunning! Something seems off about them, though I can't quite place my finger on it... but you did a great job with the blending. Perhaps it's just me, but I always like to blur the foreground/far background to give the picture some depth. Maybe you should try that, too? Especialyl since the extra space near the bottom doesn't really need to be there for any other purpose (again, might just be me).

Try using different types of blur? Box Blur and Gaussian Blur look completely different.. so does Zoom/Radial Blur. (: Experiment with it! And haha, my critique kinda always sucks. :c

THOSE WINGS!!!! WOW! When I saw it from a listence it looked blury until I made the picture bigger and now I can see all of the details. STUNNING!
